Now I went from this

to this

001. First of all I added a new Dark Blue layer and set it To Exclusion. You can make your own or just copy this one =] Set the Opacity to around 50%

002. Now, make a new layer with a maroon-y colour I used #901619 and set to Screen 50%.

003. Next, Duplicate your Base Layer and drag it up to the top in the Layers Panel and set to Saturation.

You are done! You might want to try changing the Maroon to a different colour to get a different effect
